Meet Your Cobb Team: Tim Kitchen, Large Format Product Manager

Hi, my name is Tim Kitchen, and I’m a Large Format Product Manager with Cobb Technologies. My role at Cobb is to be responsible for all aspects of the Large Format Program, from investigating and bringing to market the services and solutions and products that our customers are demanding, as well as to work directly with customers at the end of the day to configure and implement those solutions. We support brand names such as HP and Canon and work directly with vertical markets in technical, as well as print-for-pay for graphics and posters.

My favorite part of the job at Cobb is really on the technical side - I have a BS in electrical engineering and spent the first eleven years of my career as an engineer in R&D with Eastman Kodak, so I always revert back to the technical side of things. My favorite part is really working with customers directly and finding the right mix of products and services that solves their problem and makes them more productive, and then implementing them at the end of the day.

I have a lot of hobbies. I’m notably a history buff, I enjoy very much spending time traipsing around battlefields in the Richmond area - my favorite being Malvern Hill. I like to combine my love of history with my love of photography so I’ve taken a lot of photos of battlefields in the area and some have even been published, I’m proud to say.

I also love spending time with my grandkids and taking photos of them. I have three grandkids and enjoy spending time with my wife and my family and I love taking pictures of all the family.

Also, I’ve been a musician for most of my life - I’ve played the guitar since I was about eight years old, and recently I have begun learning piano. I’ve spent a lot of time playing classical piano these days and a lot of time playing rock and roll on the guitar.

I’m a dog lover as well, so if you see me out on a battlefield walking my dogs, stop me and we’ll chat!
