Cobbtoberfest 2021 Is Here!

Last year, a Cobb employee, Steve Scott, ran 168 miles to raise money for charity. This year, Steve and five other runners are running a total of 350 miles, across the state of Virginia.

Why? To answer that, we have to go back, to the very beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

2020 – An Unexpected Adventure

When Cobb Technologies’ charitable arm, Imprint, began planning the annual 2020 Imprint Golf Tournament, Putt It Forward, COVID wasn’t even on the horizon.

When the state began quarantine and employees everywhere began working remotely, Putt It Forward, like every other event, was postponed. We did know, however, that kids were still going hungry. There was still a need to be met.

And then, out of the blue, Cobb Field Service Technician, Steve Scott, a World Marathon veteran (seven marathons, in seven days, on seven continents), decided he was going to run from Danville, Virginia, to our headquarters in Richmond.

We all thought Steve was crazy. But we believed in him. And he did it: 168 miles over the course of five days. We met our fundraising goals, touched hearts, and helped kids in need.

All because of your support, and the indomitable spirit of Steve.

2021 – A Celebration for All

COVID-19 and masks may still be a thing, but this year, we can safely meet in-person outdoors!

So, we decided to take a page from Steve’s book and make this year’s Cobbtoberfest the best and biggest yet - the very best part is you’re invited! We’ll be there to cheer on our team of runners as they cross the finish line, completing their 350-mile, statewide, on-foot journey, which will kick off Cobbtoberfest festivities. We’ll celebrate with live music, food and drink trucks, local vendors, amazing raffle prizes, a bounce house, face painting - we’ll have fun for the whole family. All proceeds from the event will go towards Imprint’s mission to serve and support children in our community.

Tickets are free, costumes are encouraged, and everyone is invited (including leashed dogs)!

So, if you’re ready to help the community, have fun, and celebrate October Cobb-style, come join us on October 29th from 5 to 9 PM for Cobbtoberfest 2021!
