The strongest office technology product line in Virginia just got stronger. On Tuesday, Cobb Technologies officially announced a new partnership with Hewlett-Packard, adding the renowned brand to its product portfolio which already includes industry leaders Canon, Konica Minolta and Kyocera.
“Hewlett-Packard has been on our radar for a while because it’s one of the first names people think of when it comes to print and imaging equipment,” said Toni Gorveatt, president at Cobb Technologies. “It goes beyond brand recognition though – HP offers strong products that fit in with exactly what we love to offer our clients.”
The addition of Hewlett-Packard’s line bolsters Cobb’s Managed Print Services offering, which allows the company to remotely and proactively monitor and service any printers or copiers. Toner and service is included in flat-rate fees, including automatic ink and toner replenishment when a machine starts to get low.
“Typically, organizations do not have an employee that has a sole responsibility of just managing the entire fleet of printers and copiers, leading to ballooned costs when it comes to ordering toner and downtime when scheduling service,” said Gorveatt. “We want to free that employee up to focus on more important things – your office technology should be working for you, not vice versa.”
Additionally, Cobb is eagerly anticipating the roll out of HP’s PageWide XL large format printing line to complement the company’s already successful Océ large format printer equipment offering.
“As the premier supplier of large format solutions in southern Virginia, we’re extremely pleased to add this truly transformative technology to our lineup,” said Tim Kitchen, large format product manager.
Cobb has already gotten ahead of the curve on service for its HP products by providing intensive training for all techs. Additionally, Cobb recently hired Billy Ju, a locally renowned technician who has a demonstrated expertise in HP wide format solutions.
“Billy has been a fantastic addition to our award-winning service team,” said Tracy Short, vice president of service. “As soon as the first PageWide XL arrived in our showroom, he was almost as excited as Tim [Kitchen] to get started on building it and teaching our team the intricacies of the product.”
With an even stronger product line coming off of a record year, more and more organizations in Virginia are starting to take notice of Cobb’s excellent customer service and dedication to empowering businesses with cutting-edge office technology.
